Supply Chain Operating Networks are Finally Beginning to Emerge

The concept of a network of networks – a network that rides on top of other networks and leverages those other network’s data – has been in existence for a while. ARC prefers the term “supply chain operating network,” which we have been writing about since 2003. While the terms are in use, what has not been present is an actual working example of a supply chain operating network. That may be about to change. […]

Manhattan Momentum 2016 – Delivered

Today is the final day of Manhattan Associates’ 2016 annual user conference in Orlando, FL. The conference has about 1,200 attendees, including attendees from 41 Manhattan partners. Manhattan Associates Aptly Named Momentum Conference

Manhattan is on a roll – revenues are up 10 percent year over year; 35 percent of software revenues come from brand new customers; and despite only having one reported quarter under their belt, Manhattan raised their financial guidance for 2014’s full year projected earnings. A […]

This Week in Logistics News (May 3 – 9)

This week I had the pleasure of attending the Manhattan Associates Momentum user conference in Hollywood, FL. The main theme for Momentum was to get “commerce ready.” What “commerce ready” means may vary a little based on company, industry, segment, and target market, but the key point was clear. Organizations need to be ready to sell, and more importantly, ready to fulfill the order through any channel and means necessary. The changing nature of business […]

The 2014 National Retail Federation (NRF) Big Show, one of the biggest trade shows in the country, was once again all about the customer experience. And there are a lot of vendors out there that are delivering systems and platforms to enable retailers to provide a positive customer experience. When one thinks about the customer […]
